Kappa : Suede Lace Up

IMG_9334

TGIF! Looking forward to the weekend with my new Tony Bianco lace up sandals. They arrived a little later for this summer, but I’m sure they will be put to better use next year. If you are unaware, Tony Bianco is an Australian shoe designer that has collaborated with a number of Australian fashion bloggers. One of my favourite is Sara Donaldson, from Harper and Harley. The best thing about Australian brands is when our Fall season begins, their F/W collection goes on sale! I’ll be sure to check out Mr. Bianco’s boot collection when the weather in California starts to cool down.

Under Construction : Orange & Denim

Happy Hump Day!

IMG_0174p

Our surroundings are continuously changing. As I pass by road work and construction signs, I am reminded of the beautiful bright color that some find caution to pull off. Orange… It’s been faming itself as the new black since Netflix released the estrogen filled jail series. Though I don’t quite relate to any of the OITNB characters, I sometimes fear the uncertainty of change and possible failure. Fortunately, the past few years has led to many successful changes in my personal life that I am extremely grateful for. And I am certain the future will bring me more… Today’s outfit is a reminder of how our lives are constantly under construction.

Vintage Transition : Frills & Leather

Happy Thursday all!

IMG_8581

The racks are filling up with fall trends as students are gearing up for back-to-school. It takes me back to those days when the sadness of summer ending hits, but the joy of reuniting with my classmates begin. A love hate relationship maybe? As much as I enjoyed surfing the aisles for new pencils and notepads, back-to-school fashion was the major excitement. Recent reminiscing and seasonal transitions has brought me to this outfit. The delicate prints and frills of this blouse remind me of “back in the day”. When paired with a bright faux leather skirt and a modern twist to the chunky heel, we have what I like to call retro chic. What vintage are you reminded of when seasons change?

Back to the Monday grind we go…

This past weekend my husband and I took a little road trip up north to San Jose. We had the luxury of staying at the beautiful Hayes Mansion. This estate was completed by the Hayes family in 1905 but is now a property of the City of San Jose and operated by Dolce Hotels and Resorts. The resort offers walking tours and Sunday brunch. If you find yourself in the area be sure to escape inside this historical beauty.

Brick Red : Off-the-Shoulder Dress

IMG_8192

It’s Tuesday!

IMG_7987

August so quickly crept up on me as I am still catching up on my summer outfit updates. Can we turn back time just a little bit so I can have some of my summer weekends back? Fortunately, this past weekend freed up some time for a little stroll. Off-the-shoulder trends have been making a major appearance this summer and I was lucky enough to snag this beautiful chiffon dress from the Zara sale. I can’t get enough of its brick red color!
